beloved husband of Ruth (Steinbruckner). Dear father of Robert, Kathleen (John) Courtney, Jeanne (Rick) Karnath, Mary Struebel, Patrick and the late Michael Mallette. Loving grandpa of Janina (Jason) Leisten, Ryan and Daniel Mallette; Meghan, Katie (Antione) Myles and Molly Courtney (fiancé, Sam Crosby); Devin, Maggie, Sean, and Liam Karnath and Samantha Struebel. Great-grandpa of Ambriella and Gwendalynn Leisten; Patrick Courtney and Dominick Myles. Brother of Anna (Gerald) Kostusiak, Lawrence, Richard and the late Arthur (Joyce), John and Margaret Mallette. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC. (Southtowns Chapel, 3155 Orchard Park Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at St. Francis of Assisi Church, Athol Springs at 10:30 AM (Please assemble at church). Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Alzheimer's Association of WNY. Bob served in the US Army and was a member of American Legion Post 735. He was a 3rd degree Knight and bingo worker at the Knights of Columbus Msgr. Nash Council, a member of the CWA Local 1122, and St. John the Evangelist Travel Club. He was a volunteer at Queen of Heaven Church and retired from NYTEL/AT&T. Bob's family is truly grateful for the caregivers and friends he had at Mercy SNF at OLV.
