Q: How did you meet Fr. Thomas?
A: I met Tom while teaching at St. Mary's School for the Deaf in the mid 1970's. Tom loved to laugh and enjoyed telling funny stories in both English and ASL! As an advocate for Deaf children and adults, Tom was instrumental in the establishment of the Western New York Registry of Interpreters for the Deaf. The organization later joined 10 other states in New England, Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, and West Virginia to form Region 1 of the national RID. His family can be proud of his accomplishments! We will miss Tom - he was a shining light in our community!

So sorry to read of Fr. Tom's passing.
Lived one block away, in S Buffalo, and grew up with him. He was a year ahead of me at St. John's. He was a great friend! I'll always remember him with his basketball tucked under his arm, on the way to the park.
Rest in Peace Tom!

Aunt Gert had the Irish mother’s dream come true when her son became a priest ! Uncle Tom and grandpa Tom Q. Were also so thrilled to have Fr. Tom accept God’s calling to the priesthood. The entire Quinlivan extended family has been greatly blessed through Fr.Tom’s masses and prayers. I can’t number the people who have asked me over the years if I was related to Fr. Tom of South Buffalo. I was always glad to say I was and invariably they would respond about how much they loved him as a person and their priest. We all will remember his kind and compassionate manner and his dry humor! Thank you cousins Mary Ann & Liz for being the ever devoted and caring sisters for Fr. Tom especially in his years of failing health. I’m certain he will be waiting to move you to the head of the line into Heaven when your turn comes. I am sure you are both going to miss having him arround to harass you but, he wants all of us to be glad that he is enjoying eternal happiness. Love to you both from cousin Jim & Priscilla

Mary Ann, Fr. Tom , you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers. I will never forget the baptism of a nephew’s and niece’s child and how he reached out to the churched and unchurched so eloquently. Wonderful! May he rest in peace. John

I had the privilege of working with Fr. Tom on several projects during his time at St. Mary of the Angels in Olean. He was not only a pastor, but a leader in every sense of the word, helping to guide the parish in the restoration of its steeples—and contributing his life’s savings toward that effort. May he rest in peace…

Father Tom was a terrific steward guiding Queen of Heaven parish for years. I had the pleasure of getting to know him when I was involved with the Home Scool Guild. We had started Bingo and every Wednesday despite his very busy schedule he would come in and chat with the workers. He will be greatly missed! Also I will be sure to have ice cream at Kone King on March 1st, his favorite!

When our church, St Catherine of Sienna closed in 2008, we were devastated. Not unlike all the churches now.
Our designated church to move to was Queen of Heaven. The day I went to the rectory to join Q of H, Father Tom welcomed me with open arms and was so nice to me. Needless to say, he was a lovely man and extra special pastor.
All my sympathy to his family and friends as he will be truly missed.
Eileen Wozniak ( proud parishioner of Q of H).

Proud parishioner and former student of Queen of Heaven. My favorite memory of Father Tom was one time my mom called the rectory and Father Tom answered as if he was the answering machine. Great guy and great sense of humor! We always loved Father Tom. May he rest in heavenly peace.
