Bill was an amazing friend and co-worker. It was such an honor to work with him and share so many wonderful memories. He talked often and lovingly of his family, and he had such a generous and giving heart. Intelligent, funny, passionate, and capable of making and keeping friends anywhere and everywhere. Bill was just an incredible person, and we are all lucky to have called him a friend.

Bill was the best. So genuinely kind, caring and loving to anyone who was lucky to know him. Anytime I was at a Wohlrab/Hogan family party, Bill always made me feel so welcomed and included. Always had a smile on his face while asking how I was doing and being interested in what I was up to. I truly cherished every interaction I’ve had with him and our conversations. He is an inspiration for how he carried himself with positivity, friendliness, grace and kindness. Bill will forever be loved and missed. Thank you Bill for the wonderful memories and for being such an amazing person, truly the best of the best!

I was blessed to know Bill for over 45 years and was always waiting for the other shoe to drop, because surely nobody could be as nice and caring as him…that shoe never dropped. Turns out Bill was just a special gift from God that was given to all of us. We will be forever grateful that gift was shared with us. Rest in peace my friend. Love, Scott and Paula.

I got to know Bill during our time at Timon together. Although we didn't stay in touch after we graduated I would run into him at events or around town every so often. Is there any one who thinks of Bill and does so without a smile on his face? Over almost 50 years, he didn't change much, other than to demonstrate how proud he was of his sons and he always seemed upbeat. I don't think I'm met many people who seemed to be so amused by Life as Bill. My experience of Bill was as a gentle man, and a Gentlemen. So Bill, I fill for you the parting glass
Then gently rise and softly call
Good night and joy be to you.

Bill had a wicked sense of humor, combined with a great sense of kindness. Loved a laugh, quick-witted and ready to pounce on a chance at finding humor in something, but also full of humanity. He did not want to laugh 'at' someone, but with them. Always inclusive, and wanting to bring people together. In group settings he engaged everyone. If someone seemed down, it was just Bill being Bill to reach out to them. I got to know him, professionally, too. He never professed to be the smartest person in the room, but he was always the guy who wanted to hear the opinions of everyone in the room. Everyone mattered. He built consensus thru encouraging collaboration and seemed never afraid to ask a question that needed to be asked (even if the rest of the room was afraid to). He was always empathetic. No matter how lousy his day/week/month was, he was sincerely concerned with how things were going for whoever he was engaging with was...be it friend or stranger. A truly special human being. I consider myself lucky to have somehow had him as a friend for decades.

I met Bill in the early 1980’s at 2001 Health Oddessy. He was always friendly and had a smile on his face. Over the years, our paths would cross from time to time. Our conversations always made me feel like no time had passed, and he was truly interested in what was going on in my life. It takes a special person to make you feel that way, and that was Bill. My condolences to Ginny, Sean and Patrick.

Q: How did you meet William "Bill"?
A: I met Mr. Hogan at our parent conferences when his son, Sean, was one of my sixth grade students. He and his wife were such supportive and involved parents, always eager to make Sean's experience at the middle school the best it could be.
Sean was a delight with his interest in, and knowledge of, meteorology. Every morning, Sean presented the weather prediction to our class, going above and beyond with maps, diagrams of fronts, etc. and his amazing knowledge of meteorology. I'm sure his mom and dad had encouraged this interest for years. Sean went on to become the school's weather man, during every morning's announcements.
It was always evident that Sean—and his brother, Patrick—came from a home filled with love, encouragement, and pride. Mr. Hogan will undoubtedly remain an enduring source of inspiration to his sons, and his legacy will live on through them.

I met Bill when I worked at Jos. A. Bank Clothiers in Orchard Park from 2010 to 2020. Of the hundreds of customers I served, I can count on one hand those who I consider a friend. Bill of course being one of them. Facebook allowed us to keep up with each other and our family adventures after the store closed.
Though Bill would come to the store for wardrobe “enhancements”, we always visited about our families, the real meaning to our lives. His endless smile, “listening” eyes and depth of conversation are fond memories and will be deeply missed. My heartfelt thoughts are with you, Ginny, Sean and Patrick. Lovingly, Jim Yansick

I will remember Bill as a kind, thoughtful friend. We knew each other a bit back in our college days, through mutual friends. Over the past decade we reconnected and we recently lamented that we hadn't hung out more in our youth. The loss was mine.
Bill was the nicest guy. In his presence, he made you the center of attention. He had a way of making you feel important to him.
I will truly miss Bill, but I'll always remember his generous spirit.
