Philip Robertson Spiesz of Machias, NY crossed over on Saturday May 10th, 2025 peacefully at home. He is survived by his wife of 36 years Margaret (Murdough) Spiesz and his four children; Myken (John) Allen of Georgia, Nathaniel (Samantha) Spiesz of New York, Kevin Kyte of New York, and Nicholas (Corinna) Kyte of Oregon. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. Brother of Carolyn (John) Hagaman, Anne (Bob) Scheidt and Robertson Spiesz. He is also survived by several brother and sisters-in-law and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great great nieces and nephews and his dog Angus. He is preceded in death by his parents Carlysle Philip Spiesz and Evelyn (Robertson) Spiesz Philip was a carpenter by trade building several homes across the country as a traveling construction worker. He finally settled in his hometown of Snyder, NY and worked at Gibraltar Steel for several years retiring to Machias on the family land. He was a gentle soul and loved by many. Philip passed away quietly in the home he and his wife built. A Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
