Obituary of Patrick J. Kelleher

KELLEHER, Patrick J., of South Buffalo passed away peacefully at the age of 96 on July 3, 2025. He was predeceased by the love of his life his wife of 60 years Barbara (Massett) Kelleher, and is survived by his children James (Susan) Kelleher, Barbara Ann (Dr. Barry) Fitzgerald and Mary (Kevin Crabtree) Kelleher, his honorary son Dan Reedy Sr., grandchildren Patrick (Christina) Kelleher, Kathleen Kelleher (Eric) Leeman, Mary Clare Kelleher, James Kelleher, Jr., Barry Fitzgerald, Kevin (Breanna) Fitzgerald, Mary Kate Fitzgerald, and great grandchildren Julia Ann Leeman, Patrick Kelleher Jr., Lily Clare Fitzgerald, and Mack Joseph Fitzgerald. He was predeceased by his parents James and Julia (Hyde) Kelleher, his siblings Mary (Michael) McMahon, Sister Mary Annunciata {Kathleen Kelleher}, Margaret ( Eugene) Moriarty. He was known as “Chief”, “Hagar”, “Coach” or “Papa” depending on how you knew him but to all he was the most loving man you ever met. Friends and family may call Monday, July 7th from 3:00-7:00 pm at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME,INC., 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park, NY (716) 675-9027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday, July 8th at St. Martin of Tours Church, 1140 Abbott Road in South Buffalo. Please assemble at the church. Because Catholic education was so important to him, donations to the Barbara Massett Kelleher Scholarship Fund at Mount Mercy Academy or to Notre Dame Academy in their time of need are most welcome.
