Condolences to the Gleason family.
Dennis was a friend in college who I was lucky enough to reconnect with the last few years.
He helped me through a tough time in my life and I came to see Dennis as a dear friend.
I miss him, as I am sure you all do as well. I smile when I think about him, which is often.

Dennis was my dear, kind, precious friend and one of the best gifts Niagara Mohawk gave to me. We were able to leave a lot unspoken but could talk about anything. I think we had known one another for only two weeks when, having both skipped out of a meeting (to have a cigarette on Salina Street,) we had a remarkable conversation about our fathers, their good and bad traits , the power of alcohol and how they had influenced us. It was the kind of frank conversation you might have with a friend you has known for 20 years.
He and Audrey always had a sense for when I needed a boost and would invite me to dinner. Afterward Dennis would walk me to my car where I would find “ God Loves You” notes from Audrey tucked into the console. Sometimes we would walk to the Cathedral together for mass at noon and stop for a Starbucks on the way home without saying a word. Silence was fine with us. He told me once how much he appreciated that after the accident.
A real techie, bless him, he taught me how to use my first i-phone and how to pay my bills online. I helped him decorate his condo and convinced him to treat himself to that massive abstract over his fireplace. We shared parenting anxieties, went to see Santana, laughed frequently and always had each other’s backs. I will never stop missing Dennis Gleason.

To Nora & Gleason Family,
Was so sorry to hear of Dennis’ passing. He was such a nice & kind guy.
He used to come into the Y almost everyday to do his routine. At different times we talked about growing up in South Buffalo & shared stories of other friends & folks.
My sincere condolences to you & Family!
Gone too soon & will be missed!

Saddened to hear of Dennis' passing. Over the years- occasionally working with Dennis on Commerical Power Customer presentations he was always welcoming, a pleasure to deal with. Besides being a class act, Dennis was an original gentleman, one who will not be forgotten. God's Speed Dennis, blessing to the Gleason Family.

Please accept my sincere condolences-Dennis and I first met n 1979 when we were each hired to read meters at Niagara Mohawk. From that very first meeting and all through the years as our careers went in different yet at times interweaving directions, Dennis was always kind and gracious and a pleasure to catchup with any time our paths would cross. Though I had not had the pleasure of seeing Dennis in many years, I will always remember him fondly . Again, to his family and friends I offer my heartfelt condolences.

My sincere condolences.
I remember you guys coming to Sunday brunch at my Mom's house when you were visiting my brother Dan (Welch) and Kate. We were in awe of how many (usually not so very good) pancakes that Kelly could eat. Dan and Kate speak often of your Mom and Dad, and I know that they will continue to do so until they get together at the Bonnies afterlife reunion when their time comes.
Despite being around your Dad on various occasions through the years, I didn't know him very well. However, he met up with us at The Burton in Alleghany last year after a Bonnie's basketball game that I went to with Dan and Kate. He was so kind to remember that I had lost my partner last year and said the most perfect words to acknowledge my loss.
I also had the pleasure of attending the Daryll Halll concert that your father was supposed to go to but couldn't attend due to his illness. Kate texted me during the concert (because my brother Dan is so challenged when it comes to using his cell phone), to let Dan know that your Dad was fading quickly. I wish you could have heard the conversation among Dan, Steve Kerins, and Jerry Maggio about your Dad -- their love and respect for their buddy Dennis was genuine and huge. They would have put three teenage girls idolizing Taylor Swift to shame. A rainbow appeared during the severe weather delay of the concert . . . attribute whatever meaning to it you wish. Your Dad was supposed to be there but couldn't, but his 3 buddies got to share the view of the rainbow over Keuka Lake that day.
Anyhow, although I didn't know him well, he clearly left a huge impression on everyone who knew him. So sorry for your tremendous loss.
Katy

I was deeply saddened to hear of Dennis’ passing. I first met him over 50 years ago at St. Bonaventure, and even back then, his sincerity and good nature left a lasting impression. Though life took us in different directions and we lost touch for many years, I was grateful to reconnect with him through social media several years ago and loved seeing his many pictures of family, grandchildren and concerts.
He and Audrey raised a great family and even with her tragic loss, it was clear that time had deepened his warmth and decency. He remained the same thoughtful, engaging person I remembered, sharing his political wit and philosophy, often peppered with a kind word or a bit of humor, and always rooting for the Bonnies and the Bills with heart and soul.
Please accept my heartfelt condolences. He will be missed by many, and I am sure he will be remembered with admiration and affection.

Dennis’ Family,
I met Dennis almost 60 years ago and, even though we had lost touch, he still had that great smile and earnest look in his eyes.
We were teammates on the championship St Teresa/South Buffalo Tigers 1966 football team, and went to school together for a while.
A great guy, gone too soon.

To the family of Dennis, those many relatives, ex-coworkers and friends. I will never understand why bad things happen to good people. Dennis was "good people" and the good Lord has his reasons for calling him home at this time. I met Denis about the 1970s and could immediately tell he was a true friend and on a path to greatness. He served his company with dedication and his dedication to his family was unprecedented. A good man who will be missed. Please accept my condolences. May he now be resting in peace

Dennis was a classmate of mine at Timon, class of 1972. We went separate ways after that and only reconnected on Facebook. He was a great guy back then and obviously that never changed. He was loved by all of his classmates. He smiled easily, laughed often, liked everyone and lived Strong in Faith ("Fortis in Fide").

I met Dennis and Audrey through Ace as Ace went to college with Dennis. Dennis was in our wedding 9/29/79 was your mom and dad got married a week later. The first time we came to visit their family in Syracuse, the boys were all out of the house and Kelly still lived there. Audrey had fresh flowers and chocolates on our pillow. I will always remember that I thought, Wow that is awesome! I felt like part of your family right away. I'm very sad for your loss And your dad will be truly missed!
