Obituary of Dennis G. Gleason

Dennis G. Gleason, 70, passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025 after a brief illness. A devoted family man, Dennis is deeply missed by loved ones and friends who will cherish his kindness, hearty laugh, and generous heart. Predeceased by his beloved wife, Audrey, and a brother, Mike, he is survived by his brother Jim (Cindy), his sisters, Nora Specht (Chuck) and Mary Jeffrey (Wyatt), his children Jim (Vicki), Jeff (Nancy), Dan (Liz), and Kelly Wohlabaugh (Evan), and his eight adoring grandchildren, Jack, Emme, George, Miles, Jane, Lydia, Audrey, and Fiona. Friends and family are invited to gather for visitation at James W. Cannan Funeral Home, 3155 Orchard Park Road, Orchard Park on Sunday, July 20, 2025, from 2:00–6:00 p.m. A funeral Mass will be held on Monday, July 21, at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of the Annunciation, 7580 Clinton Street, Elma, followed by interment at Oakwood Cemetery in East Aurora. May Dennis’s memory continue to inspire warmth and compassion in all who knew him. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations to Catholic Charities, an organization to which Dennis dedicated so much of his time and service.
