Michael H. McGuire passed away on September 6, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family. Born on March 24, 1948, he was the son of the late Francis “Mickey” McGuire and Anna (Wiles) McGuire. Mike was the beloved husband of Katherine (Kirk) McGuire, with whom he shared a lifetime of love. He was the proud father of Mara (Eric) Dils and Aubryn (Matthew) Noble, and the cherished grandfather of Calum, Maya, and Cameron Dils, and Charlie Noble. Born and raised in Western New York, Mike attended Queen of Heaven Elementary School andgraduated from Bishop Timon High School before going on to study at the University of Miami. Following college, he proudly served his country as a member of the National Guard. In 1971, Mike married the love of his life, Kathy, and together they built a life filled with joy, laughter, and unwavering devotion. This October 9th, they were preparing to celebrate 54 wonderful years of marriage. Mike was the proud father of daughters Mara and Aubryn, and he loved his grandchildren. A skilled electrician, Mike carried on the legacy of his grandfather by owning and operating Lackawanna Electric. Mike was known for his adventurous spirit. His passions included motorcycles, Corvettes, and an array of “toys” that reflected his love of fun and freedom. His happiest place was riding his Harley through warm climates, alongside his wife, heading for a cold one on the water! Friends may visit Thursday September 11th from 4-7PM at the JAMES W.
