Passed away peacefully on September 26, 2025 at the age of 93. Born in Buffalo, NY to Charles and Beatrice (née Hennick) McSwain. Loving brother of the late Nancy Carr, late Donald McSwain, and brother-in-law to the late Linda McSwain. Special friend to Tim and Maryann Riedy. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Charlie was a Veteran of the US Air Force and an active member with the American Legion Post #735 in West Seneca. Charlie was a proud graduate of Canisius College. He was employed by the City of Buffalo as an accountant. Charlie loved the game of baseball and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan. Charlie was a season ticket holder for the Bills and Sabres for many years. Throughout his life, Charlie devoted his time giving back to his community. He spent countless hours volunteering at Queen of Heaven parish, along with the West Seneca Legion Post #735, and the Buffalo Irish Center. Charlie will be remembered for his gentle demeanor and his acts of kindness. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Friday, October 3rd at 9:00 AM at the Queen of Heaven Church in West Seneca, NY. Please assemble at church. No prior visitation. The Burial will follow the Mass at the Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Buffalo Irish Center in his memory.
