Passed away on September 27, 2025, beloved wife of the late John T. Doherty, dear mother of Rachel Doherty, Stephen (Megan) Doherty, Paul (Christine Hannan) Doherty and Cara (late Christopher) Spellman. Loving grandmother of Maeve and Jack Doherty, Katherine Hannan, Nora and Thea Spellman, sister of Agnes “Aunt Sis” (Bill) Bogert, late William (Marie “Penny”) Spampinato, late Jack Spampinato, and late Vincent (late Ronnie) Spampinato, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call on Friday Oct. 3rd from 4:00 – 8:00 pm at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park (716) 675-9027. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday October 4th at 9:30AM am at Our Lady of Charity Parish – Holy Family Worship site, South Park Ave. in Buffalo, please assemble at church. The burial will follow the Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Hospice Buffalo, Inc. Mrs. Doherty was a proud member of the Church Musicians Guild.
