Obituary of Michael J. Suchan
Please share a memory of Michael to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Michael passed away suddenly on October 9, 2025. A loving husband and best friend for 48 years to Karen M.(Zaganiaczyk) Suchan and a loving and devoted father to Ian M. (Sasha L. Bailey) Suchan.
To know Michael was to love him. He found joy and enthusiasm in everything he did. Mike lived life to the fullest and gave 100% to all of his family and friends. He was the “family planner” and made sure life-time memories were created for everyone. He loved to celebrate his loved ones’ accomplishments both big and small. His family, not always blood-related, were most important to him. He was an avid gardner, reader, and theater-goer. Mike loved to travel the world as much as he could and experience everything life had to offer. He was a pretty good chef too! Mike had a passion for History, especially about the City of Buffalo. His knowledge about world history, current and historic events, was unprecedented. Michael captivated his audiences, whether you wanted to be or not, during conversations, or better yet, with his ability to tell a story. So celebrate a life well-lived, make his favorite cocktail, a Dirty Martini, and use his favorite toast - “Here’s to family and friends, a God-given treasure, a wealth beyond measure”.
