Charlie spent his 78 years growing up in Buffalo with his family. He grew up with his brother Tommy and his sister Roey. You could always find Charlie causing some kind of trouble, he was either starting his childhood house on fire or adding shaving cream to someone’s shoes. If there was some type of trouble you knew Charlie was behind it. After meeting his wife Kathie the two had four beautiful children Jennifer, Marc, Kevin and Andrew. In 1986 Charlie started Sempert’s towing, showing his children what it meant to be a hard worker. You could always find him out on a tow. Aside from towing Charlie spent his time in the kitchen, from a young boy helping his aunt, to his older self decorating cakes for family birthday’s or wedding’s . Always putting a smile on people faces and sharing so many special times with them. If you didn’t find Charlie towing or baking you could always find him at Tim Hortons, he would go and sit for hours talking with all his friends about anything, towing, fishing, baking, or just old story’s about how the world was changing so fast. Every year he would take fishing trips up to Canada with friends, he meet some great people and really enjoyed spending his time fishing. Once Charlie hung up the tow truck keys, he began helping others in a different way. Charlie began delivering for a pharmacy, meeting all these new people along the way. Charlie had such a big heart, he would always make sure his customers were taken care of, bringing them coffee , or just sitting and talking for a bit. He had a way of making them all feel special. While Charlie wore many hats, brother, husband, father, friend, business owner, delivery driver his favorite hat was Papa. To this day he would tell you that his world was his seven grandchildren. Kaitlynn, Tyler, Jacob, Connor, Cory, Joseph and Olivia, were his pride and joy. He did so many different things with them, riding in the tow truck, baking, trips to Tim Hortons, watching movies, trips to the Thousand Island, fishing, going to cheerleading and basketball games, hockey games, sharing a cup of tea, and most importantly sharing a popsicle.
