Maureen S. Robinson, a beloved mother, grandmother, friend, neighbor, and aunt peacefully passed away on December 26, 2025 at the age of eighty-eight. Maureen was born on March 11, 1937 to John Whalen and Lillian Whalen (Schlatterer), as the second youngest of 7 children. She is the sister of Monica (Joel) Klein, and the late Mary (late Paul) Braunscheidel, late Delores (late Jerry) Sullivan, late John (late Margaret) Whalen, late Teresa (John) Donohue, and late Francis X. (late Patricia) ack. She was married to the love of her life, the late Richard (Dick) Robinson for 67 years. They met as teenagers and went on to have five children- Richard “Rich” Robinson (Cheryl), Mary P. “Patty” Murray (Jack), James “Jim” Robinson (Dana), Sheila M. Radwan (Thomas “Tom”), and the late Laurie R. Radwan (James “Jim”). She was a loving aunt to Francis (Nancy) Whalen, Patricia (Michael) Wilkinson, and Nancy (Anthony) Dux. Maureen was also a very loving grandmother to fifteen grandchildren -Richard “Richie” J. Robinson, III, Robert “Robby” Robinson, Emmaline Robinson, Molly Murray, John “Jack” Murray (Alyssa), Patrick Murray, Eric Bracket, Kevin Robinson, Thomas “Tom” Radwan, William “Will” Radwan, Olivia Radwan, Natalie Radwan, Catherine “Catie” Radwan, Amanda Radwan, and Elisabeth Radwan. She is also survived by a great granddaughter, Natasha Murray (Jack and Alyssa). Maureen was strongly devoted to her family, faith and community. After being raised in such a large family, she decided to dedicate her life to her husband, children, and grandchildren. Through the years she felt it important to keep in touch with most of her siblings and always made time with each family member. Maureen personified the saying that behind each successful person is a supportive and loving spouse/partner. She stood by her husband Dick’s side for his 58 years as a very successful State Farm Agent. Maureen felt deeply about her Roman Catholic faith and had a strong devotion our Blessed Mother. As soon as her youngest, Laurie, went to Kindergarten, she decided to go to daily mass at St. Martins. Shortly thereafter, she added Saturday morning mass at OLV Basilica every week, in addition to always attending Sunday Mass at St. Martins. She did this 7 days a week for 47 years until Macular degeneration and Parkinsons took away her ability to attend in the early 2020’s. She cherished the friends that she met at mass and often help to plant the Spring Garden at St. Martins and periodically helped to clean the Sacristy. Maureen loved her community of friends. As a young mom she was actively involved in the Bishop’s Committee Discussion Program and was a member of St. Martin’s Mother’s Club. Some of these friends formed a Birthday Club and in their 50 were members of the Red Hat Society. In addition to the time spent on faith, family, and friends, Maureen made time for her diverse interests such as gardening, reading, decorating for the holidays, ceramics, exercising, and staying up on current events and the politics of the day. She also loved to travel the world. Yet her favorite spots were Disney World, Clearwater Beach, and Letchworth State Park where she was surrounded by many family members. Many memories were forged at these vacation spots where Maureen spread around her great love for all. Maureen felt very blessed by God and felt moved to give back to others. He most beloved charities were the Franciscan Center and Hope for Two… The Pregnant with Cancer Network. Hope for Two was founded by her daughter Mary (Patty) Murray 28 years ago after she herself was diagnosed with cancer while pregnant with her third child. Friends and family may call on Tuesday December 30, 2025 from 4-8:00pm at the James W. Cannan Funeral Home Inc., located at 3155 Orchard Park Road Orchard Park, NY.
