ARMILLOTTI, James M., passed away on January 6, 2026, beloved husband of Margaret (Morrison) Armillotti, dear father of James Armillotti Jr., loving grandfather of Angela Marie Armillotti and her mother Jennifer Sullivan, son of the late Bernard and Susan (Ferrentino) Armillotti, brother of Kathie (Tony) Albertson, Thomas (Cathy) Armillotti and Susan (Jim) Ortman. A visitation will be held on Friday January 30th from 4-8:00 pm at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park (716) 675-9027, where a funeral service will be held on Saturday January 31st at a time to be announced. The inurnment will follow the services at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Roswell Park Comprehensive Care Center and or the Nationwide Children’s Hospital
Jim was a graduate of Hutch Tech High School and Bryant & Stratton College. He met his high school sweetheart, Margie 61 yrs ago and just recently celebrated their 57th wedding anniversary. He proudly served for over 10 yrs in the USAF Reserves with the 914TH TAG at Niagara Falls AFB working as a dental specialist in the clinic. He had a career as a journeyman plumber/welder that spanned over 40yrs. having served his apprenticeship with Plumbers Local #36. For 16 yrs he worked construction locally and traveled extensively as a welder to oil refineries and several nuclear power facilities. The remainder of his career was as a maintenance welder at Ford Motor Co. Bflo Stamping plant until his retirement.
Jim loved the outdoors, swimming, fishing, hunting and the beach. His sense of adventure and passion for scuba diving took Jim and Marge all over the Caribbean for many yrs but while here in Bflo he enjoyed diving in the Niagara River with his dive club. He began riding motorcycles at age 16 and continued until health no longer permitted it. He especially loved his Harley-Davidsons.
He had a deep love and appreciation of music of all kinds - except RAP! He played the drums as a student at P.S. #72 and continued thru his teens playing in several bands then turning over his set of Gretsch drums to Jim Jr. at age 4.
Jim was an incredibly strong and determined man. He was a 9+ yr cancer survivor which he battled bravely. He dealt with his most recent health issues in the same manner and was referred to as “a warrior” by one of his nurses. We were proud of him.
Jim was extremely proud of his Italian heritage so he had a huge vegetable garden and made homemade wine and pasta thru the yrs but Margie made the sauce well taught by her Sicilian mother. Family, food and friends were important to him. He loved his son Jim Jr. deeply and was proud of him. They shared their love of fishing, hunting, motorcycles, playing drums and music. He was incredibly proud of his granddaughter Angela Marie. She was the apple of his eye. Little Sally dog was his buddy. He had a kind heart and we will miss him and never forget his incredible sense of humor. We love you and cherish all the memories.
