Barbara Diane (Shular) Lomas 12/9/1934 - 1/19/2026 Passed away on Monday, January 19, 2026. Beloved wife of the late William E. Lomas. Dearest mother of Lori Klas, Jon (Katie) Klas, and Kevin Klas. Dear stepmother of William Lomas Jr., Karen (Rick) Smith, Kevin (Jody) Lomas, Kenneth (Mary) Lomas, Eileen (Bill) Balke, Matthew (Debbie) Lomas, late Susan (late Donald) Ostrander, and the late Joseph Lomas. Precious grandmother of Jason Bain, Alyssa Klas, and Addison Klas. Loving great grandmother of Drew (Kayla) Comstock, Kylie Bain, and Raegyn Bain. Special great grandma of Katelyn Comstock. Dear godmother of Jamie (Bryan) French. Daughter of the late Herbert and Phoebe (Peg) (Johnston) Shular. Sister of the late Herbert (Carole Crocker) Shular Jr., and the late Dave (late Joy) Shular. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews, cousins, and friends. Barb was a loving "mother" to many. After staying home to raise her children, Barb started college and achieved her master's in social work (MSW) and then through postgraduate classes, training, and testing achieved the level of licensed clinical social worker (LCSW). She worked for 15 years for Erie County Family Court before starting her private practice in social work and clinical therapy. Barb was held in high regard by the courts for her advocacy and professionalism. Her work centered around supporting children and families. She was an active member of Woodside Methodist Church that transitioned to New Hope Methodist Church where she continued to serve her community alongside her husband Bill. She is missed by many. Barb requested a graveside service which will be held on Saturday, March 21, 2026 at 11 am at Woodlawn Cemetery, 4443 S. Buffalo St., Orchard Park, NY 14127.
