COLLINS, Mary Patricia, 8/18/1957 – 2/7/2026 Beloved wife, mother, and sister Mary Patricia Collins died very unexpectedly but peacefully in bed the evening of Feb 7, 2026, from a brain hemorrhage. She was very kind, loving, extremely intelligent, and joyful, with a great sense of humor. Easygoing and full of laughter, she was quick to make a friend everywhere she went. Mary enjoyed cooking and tinkering with new recipes in the kitchen, doing puzzles and crosswords, going on walks with her husband and dogs, travelling, reading mysteries, playing cards, and winning at trivia. She never missed a chance to celebrate birthdays, anniversaries, or holidays. Her big smile and bigger heart were loved by all. She grew up in South Buffalo, graduated from SUNY Buffalo cum laude, and later moved to Alaska where she met her husband, William C. (Chuck) Greeson. They were together for 36 years until her untimely passing at age 68. In Alaska, she worked as a Research Analyst for Anchorage, then moved to Juneau where she held a similar job for the state government from 1991-2006. She and Chuck raised sons Liam and Eric, and daughter Kylie. On retirement in 2007, she moved with Chuck and Liam to a small farm in Gasport, NY where they had a vineyard and made wine. She and Chuck then lived seven years in Tucson AZ. They moved back to South Buffalo in 2022. She and Chuck travelled the world extensively over these years. Mary was the seventh of nine children of the late James J. JR. and Edna (Simon) Collins of Buffalo. She is survived by her husband, three children, four grandchildren (Grant, Emmy, Dean, and Joy Bond), sisters Lauretta (Michael) Fruth, Donna (late Kevin) Curry, Sheila (Michael) Rosowicz, Barbara (Charles Weagraff) Collins, Dorothy (late Timothy) and her brother Frederick as well as many nieces, nephews, grand-niblings, and friends. She was preceded in death by brothers James Collins III and Daniel Collins. She will be greatly missed by all. Friends may call Friday, April 10th from 5:00 -7:00PM at the JAMES W.
