Many years ago we met Carol when our son, Scott, married her youngest sister, Patty. On a few occasions, when we were in town visiting, we were invited to Carol and Red’s “party house”. Carol hosted the large family gatherings. She was a great hostess and wonderful cook. Who doesn’t remember her delicious peanut brittle.
In addition she kept her sewing machine humming making beautiful creations. All the grandkids and nieces loved the doll clothes she would make for them. Carol sewed for hours making crafty useful items that she shared with family and friends.
Deepest condolences to her family. She was a special lady, who will be greatly missed.

Aunt Carol,
You were such a powerhouse. I always knew that you would know what to do and what to say in any situation. As a kid, your house was the best part of summer, and your parties were the best parties of the year. Your leadership in our family and your care and concern for all of us was tangible.
As I sit here now, in 99 degree heat wearing the snowflake necklace you mailed me during my first snowstorm in Washington, DC, I can just hear your voice and your laugh. We never had to wonder what you were thinking, and I wish you could be here now to tell us what job to do next.
We will miss you, we love you, and I am a better woman because of you.
Love,
Colleen the Bean
