Passed away on February 26, 2020. Beloved wife of the late James Hanavan; dear mother of Leslie Sue (Robert) Przepiora, Richard "Rick" (Jackie) Hanavan, William J. (Judy) Hanavan; loving grandmother of nine grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren and special gram to many; predeceased by two brothers; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call Saturday from 3-6 PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., (Southtowns Chapel) 3155 Orchard Park Road, where a Funeral Service will be held at 6 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Susan G. Koman Foundation. Ruth was an avid golfer and the former Director of Admissions at Mercy Hospital and Children's Hospital.
