To Alexandria and Adrianna and family.
Words cannot express my sorrow for your loss.
Your mother was a special friend and she helped me thru many of the struggles of widowhood.
I am so blessed to have been part of her life.
My prayers are with you now and always.
Nothing I can say will ease your pain, but I am forever sorry for you losing someone so special.
With love and prayers,
Joyce Mills

I met Betsy when she was a girl visiting her grandmother who was my wife, Sue's aunt. I only saw her a few times but was struck by how friendly, vivacious pretty and nice she was. She had a wonderful smile. I became a Facebook friend of her's a few years ago but hadn't seen her again from many decades ago until this past August at a family reunion. What a sad loss! My condolences to her family and all those close to her.

I had the privilege of getting to know Liz when we worked together teaching summer school for several years at Gowanda CF. I looked forward to her returning for the summer sessions each year. Despite less than easy/ideal conditions, we made the best of it, with her super great sense of humor & funny personality leading the way. She helped make work fun,.. for the students & her co-workers,.. I can't think of anyone who didn't think well of her, as she was a tremendous asset to our education program. You are gone from us way to soon, but I am thankful I met you, & had the time together that we did,... God must have needed you in heaven pretty badly,..

From the day I meet Liz. I knew she was special. The love she showed my brother Elone McCracken was so pure & beautiful. She was a free spirit with a good heart, who loved music and dancing. Liz, spoke highly of her daughters and couldn't wait to attend the graduation this upcoming May. She will truly be missed. Love, Your Sis-in-Law ~ Heather

I worked with Liz for many years at Erie 1 STA. Liz was always a ray of sunshine. She went above and beyond her call of duty for her students and colleagues she worked with. I am blessed to have gotten to know and work with her. Heaven has gained a beautiful angel and she will be surely missed. My thoughts and prayers for her loving family

Betsy was always thinking of others. She was kind and generous. We spent some time together this summer and I will cherish the memories. She raised two remarkable daughters and brought our families closer together.

Liz was always a joy with such a pure heart and kind spirit!
Over the years, both as a co-worker and friend, we shared many laughs! Her big, bright smile was infectious and would always brighten my day!
When I think of Liz, I remember her friendship and support when I wasn't quite confident or needed guidance.
Our talks and texts were a highlight to any day! I enjoyed hearing about her joy of tennis and other activities she was involved in--of which she always gave 110% to anything she was focused on.
We almost never saw Liz without her camera around her neck, capturing moments for us to remember forever.
The past few years, betting on football, became a fun, little extra part of our banter. Though it was more me and Elone, Liz was a participant by proxy. We had such a blast at our celebratory lunch when the Bills beat the Ravens! Surely, Liz was happy WE won, but supported her man none-the-less! Enjoying stories and laughing that day, in particular, is a memory I will cherish forever!!
Though we talked about getting together this past
Summer, time just did not work in our favor. Now, I can only imagine what stories and memories we would have made. But our time has been cut short, leaving a hole in my heart.
I pray for Liz, and her family and friends, that we all remember her with love and joy, cherishing every memory and moment we shared; and that we continue living as she did - a true friend to everyone - showing unconditional love, support, friendship, faith, and joy to all we meet!!
We will miss you dearly, Liz!! Fly high and Rest in Peace!!

I am so grateful to have spent time with Betsy last summer. After too much time apart, I was reminded of what a lovely, generous woman she has always been. My heart is breaking for her beautiful daughters and for her parents Joan and Dave.
Thank you Betsy for calling me last month after Paul died and for all the good you brought into the world. I love you.

Liz was a dedicated teacher who loved teaching Spanish which was evident every time you entered her classroom. She was a kind and sweet friend/colleague who will be missed very much. My heart goes out to her children and family; there is another angel in Heaven watching over you now.
My deepest sympathy,
Linda Sattler

My best memories are her busting her butt getting Thanksgiving ready for 125 students.. Not an easy task.. But always did it.. She was committed to get students involved in student projects.. In addition a wonderful friend.. a real person, someone one could confuse in. Liz will be truly missed.. It's still hard to believe.. God has a good one
