My son had her as his principal at Discovery. She was wonderful to him and to me as a parent. I also worked with her on my administrative degree and I learned so much from her. I will always remember what I gained from her and she is going to be greatly missed by both of us.

Mary Jo and I loved to go to the candy store that was in a cottage down the road from the beach. Back at her cottage we played with fireflies and ate roasted marshmallows. When bed time came, there were so many in my family that the youngest ones slept in bureau drawers, while the rest bunked up together.
It was a long time ago, but is a precious memory of being young and carefree. Now, Mary Jo has wings to fly and wrap around loved ones.

Sean & Brandon, I am so very sorry to learn of your mom’s passing. What memories we shared as we all grew up on Hubbell. I know how your heart hurts right now but she will be watching over you both. She was such an inspiration to me. She loved you both so much. I’m sure Skip was waiting in heaven to greet her. I can hear her laugh as he does. I’m one of the porch people. Carol

Ms.Conrad was my grammar school Principal for over 8 years. We had such a great relationship though I ended up in her office a lot. Being in the office with her taught me so much about life and patience but also about taking accountability for my actions. I remember being in her office I must have always got sent down during her lunch because in the mist of me being taught a lesson on what not to do in a classroom, she’d always be eating either a Chinese wonton or egg drop soup with the crunchy chips on top . Which I always thought was so funny. Ms Conrad will always be remembered as THE principal of Dr Lydia T Wright school of excellence, thank you for all you have done. May you rest in peace.

My dear Mary Jo. First and foremost, a dearest friend. As shared educators we had so much in common. Each semester I would bring students into her building to learn the best practices. my students were always placed with her top teachers. They learned so much from her faculty. She spent time each week meeting with my students. She was truly a wonderful administrator and dear friend. I will miss her. Tom Sadowski
