I’m so sorry to all you - his family. My deepest condolences. I worked with Randy at Moog. I was in the Graphics Dept, & a health “champion” for Moog’s wellness program. We struck up a friendship quickly as he advised our team on the 5K we organized for employees on property. We’d email & chat about lots of legal issues & projects he needed completed. He even advised me on some personal issues. His happiest projects were the annual Notre Dame Communion breakfast mailings. He was so proud of his relationship to his Alma mater. I just wanted to share these thoughts about what a nice guy Randy was at his job. I will always remember him fondly.

I was deeply saddened to learn of Randy’s passing. He was an extremely kindhearted and generous person, and I will always be grateful for his friendship and mentorship. He made me feel welcome and at home during my first years in Buffalo, which made a hard time so much easier. I will always cherish the time I spent as his colleague, mentee, and friend. Rest in peace, Randy!

My heartfelt condolences to Margaret and the family. Randy was one of the best people I know. It was such a privilege to share his love of Notre Dame, UB Law and Western New York.
Randy's contributions to the University at Buffalo School of Law made such an impact on countless law students whom he mentored, taught and even hired! He was a model of professionalism, diplomacy, wisdom and charm. I used to tease him that he was our nicest (UB) alum, but I really think it was true. He certainly it up a room and made everyone he met feel like a million bucks.
Rest in peace, Randy, we will miss you deeply and often.

In memory of Randy, who touched many lives with his warmth and kindness. His wisdom was evident from our first meeting at Moog and he became a pillar of support for the InHealth wellness program. As my invaluable source of advice and trusted legal advisor, his absence leaves a void that is hard to fill. May we find comfort in the beautiful moments shared with him and strive to honor his legacy through our work.

Randy will be deeply missed. What I love most about working with Randy is how he made me feel important as an individual. His emails always started with Dear Lori . . . When we had matters to discuss, he was always calm and compassionate as he offered his thoughts and listened to mine. It was a pleasure working with him. He was so wise and knowledgeable. I always walked away learning something new from our conversations and feeling like a better person.
My heart goes out to you as family and friends. You can't take away the heartache of losing someone you love without also taking away the love and fond memories you experienced with them, which is why we all mourn deeply at the loss of Randy.

I would like to offer my heartfelt condolences to the Fahs family and I am thinking of you all at this difficult time.
I was lucky to meet Randy twice last year, in the US and in the UK and I will never forget how kind, helpful and welcoming he was.
Randy was very bright and knowledgeable, shared contract information with ease and passion and I always loved listening to him. He embodied our culture of trust and mutual respect and our company was a better place of work because of Randy.
Randy will be sorely missed and never forgotten.

My condolence to the Fahs family. Let it be a source of comfort for you to know that your loved one, Randy, was well liked and respected by those he worked with. This includes those who worked with and saw him every day as well as those who crossed paths with him periodically. His character spoke volumes. From the time you first meet him, whether in person or email, you come away feeling like you've known him a lot longer. He will be missed, but not forgotten.

My sincere condolences to the Fahs Family. Randy was truly an inspiration to anyone who had the pleasure of knowing or working with him. Randy was my first close friend when I arrived as a freshman at Notre Dame in 1980.
Soccer ball under his arm, he invited me to play in a pickup game on the quad on our first day, organizing the game and making friends of everyone around him.
We bonded over music, radio, Canadian and regional beers, and I really enjoyed doing radio broadcasts of ND hockey with him. Mostly, I marveled at how easily he made friends.
We held many late night discussions in our Keenan Hall dorm rooms, mostly about The Keenan Revue (Notre Dame’s renowned lampoon/talent show), which I directed and he produced as a team in our sophomore, junior and senior years (82-83-84).
Most telling, he eagerly shared his family with me, dragging me home with him to Buffalo for fall breaks and spring breaks because I couldn’t afford to go home to Texas. On these trips I was introduced to Randy’s mom Bev and pop Ron, and Margaret, and Buffalo wings (which were just a Buffalo thing at that point), beef on weck, Friday fish frys and and Bev’s meatballs with a hint of cinnamon in the marinara. Unforgettable.
In short, Randy made the world around him a better place to be, and welcomed us all into it. And for that I am eternally grateful.

I have many memories of Randy. He was a devoted husband to his wife Margaret, loving father to Maria, Marty and Adam. Two things I would like to share. Marty was at my house playing with my son. Randy came after work I am sure he was tired and was wanting to go home. Marty did not want to leave and was not compliant with all Randy's urging to leave. It was at that moment that I heard Randy gently saying to Marty..."sweet-heart come on honey." ....how he handle the situation was very loving and kind.. Marty was soon hugging his father. The last time I spoke to Randy and it was not too long ago he told me "Margaret is the most important person to me ...she means the world to me. With all Randy's achievements it was his family that was his greatest accomplishment.

Not often do we have the chance to truly know how other people view our loved ones. I'm devastated for the family of Randy that it comes at a time of mourning, please know though, that he was special to all who had the pleasure of holding a conversation with him or being in one of his training sessions. This man was a vibrant soul, and it absolutely shone in his work. He was absolutely loved and respected by the whole organisation not just his own office. I am from Moog UK and was halfway through a training course held by Randy and I hold those lessons as some of the best learning in my career to date. He had a way of making you understand and feel like nothing was too small to explain. Randy is irreplaceable to many people in the organisation.
I truly hope the love and respect of the many people who knew him, brings his family some semblance of peace at this heartbreaking time of mourning.
Thinking of you all, Kirsty Turner (Covington) Moog UK.

My condolences to the Fahs family.
I’d like to share a memory I had with Randy. While I was in high school, I shadowed Randy at Moog as I had dreams of being a lawyer. While I did not end up in law school, there was one piece of advice I hold to my heart. Life and career wise is not about the name of the school you got any degree from, its about who you are outside of work with your family, friends and community that make a good employee and person. I will continue to do just that and pass on Randy’s comforting and wise words that have stuck with me. He was never without a smile, laugh, joke and immense knowledge. He was genuinely one of the greatest mentors and persons I have had the pleasure of meeting. My thoughts and prayers are with your family at this time of loss.

My Cousin Randy loved his entire family and especially enjoyed those holidays when the Italian side would share the family traditions of food and festivities. Randy was a gentle and kind man, the kind of person you would want for a father, a husband, a brother, a grandfather, a cousin and a friend. He was all these, one of a kind, always loved and will always be missed. He filled our hearts with his sweet smile and gentle nature. Now he will smile from up above us, as he joins his mother and all the family that awaits him.

Dear Randy,
My Colleague, my Mentor, and my Friend. I’m so blessed and grateful for all you have been and done for me over the past 24 years. You’ve trained me well. I hope you understood how much of an impact you’ve made in my life and for so many others. You’ve made our world a better place. Thank you for your guidance, support, patience, and words of wisdom. For the record, there was never a problem we couldn’t solve or remedy. I loved when I would stop in your office for a chat, ask for some advice and after talking through it you would smile at me and calmly say, “You knew the answer, Bob” and I would be on my way. I miss you, Randy. Rest in peace my dear friend.
