Passed away May 14, 2024 Beloved husband of MaryAnn (Bohen). Dear father of Brian (Roxann), Mary Patricia (Timothy) Schlicht, Robert (Sharon), Daniel (Patricia) and Pamela (Eric) Rosen. Loving grandfather of Rachel, Jenna, Garrett, River, Sabrina, Caden, Liam, and Waylon. Son of the late John “Frank” and Stella (Procknal) Hassett Brother of late Robert (late Edith), late John Frank (late Judith), late James (late Mary Lou), late Joseph (late Anne), Richard (Carol), late Maureen (late Raymond) Leistner, Donald (Lolly), John (late Jean), Peggy (James) Schrirer and Patricia Hassett. Brother-in-law of the late Barbara (late Ralph) Ward, late Patricia (Vince) Edbauer and John (late Sandy) Bohen. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends may call Sunday from 4-8PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME INC. 3155 Orchard Park Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Monday at 9:30AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church 115 O’Connell Ave Buffalo, NY. Please assemble at church. Flowers gratefully declined, donations may be made to St. Jude’s Children's Hospital or a charity of your choice. Jeremiah retired as a Detective Sergeant after 36 years in the Buffalo Police Department. He was a member of the Detective Sergeant Association and the Police Emerald Society. He was an usher at St. Timothy’s Church for many years and a proud United States Marine Corps veteran. The family would like to thank E.C.M.C, Hospice and Elderwood of Grand Island for all of their care and compassion.
