Dear Sonia, I have so many wonderful memories of Dick at Hamburg Junior High. I sat at his lunch table where he would tell me stories that he said were "true". The one I remember most fondly was that he said we could no longer have tug-a-wars with the long, thick rope because some students lost fingers! I still don't know whether to believe it or not! Whether it was rain or shine he would announce our football games with excitement during rain or shine.
Mr. Wurtzer will always have a special place in my heart. My heartfelt condolences to the Wurtzer family.
