To the family of Miss Licker: Miss Licker was my English teacher when I was at OP High in the early 70s. She was one of my favorite teachers, encouraging my love of reading, writing and all things ELA. She was a fun teacher and I remember her smile and laugh. I have remembered her fondly all these years. You have my deepest sympathy. Susan (Albig) Anderson

Deeply saddened about Mary Anne, (she was Ms. Licker to me until after I graduated). I was fortunate to have Mary Anne as my teacher (I really enjoyed her film analysis class), and I was blessed to remain her friend for nearly 30 years after graduation. We would often meet for lunch and I would always enjoy her witty, thoughtful and keenly perceptive conversations. She was a lovely person whom I am honored to have known. I remember the last time that I saw Mary Anne at her Glenwell home nearly two years ago; she was delightful, and she seemed very happy in her surroundings.
May God bless this bright, caring and loving person.
She was very special and I’ll remember her forever.

Miss Licker must've been right out of college when she began teaching my English class at Orchard Park Jr. High. She remains my favorite secondary school teacher. I look back now and think she got a chuckle out of us in our varying new teen states. Miss Licker was a caring professional and at ease with us. She had a good disposition, tidy and precise presence, quiet intensity, and keen awareness of her charges. She opened new horizons for us. I remember reciting "The Road Not Taken" when we each had to find and recite a poem in class. We found ourselves in those poems we chose! Wish I'd had her again in high school when she moved there. Rest in peace, Miss Licker.

Hello family of Miss Licker,
I am Sandy (Banas) Trampert. I had Miss Licker as my English teacher at OPHS ( exact year..... not sure). However, she was definitely one of my very favorite high school teachers. I can still hear her beautiful calming and melodious voice in my head. And later on, when I would see her at the OP FCU she always greeted me with sunshine and genuine interest about me, my husband Jim, and my family. I truly was blessed to have her in my education journey!
So sincerely, Sandy T
