Dear Mary and Devine family,
We are all saddened by the passing of Terry. You, Terry and your family are among the finest people I have known. I and my family are lucky to be your friends. I am thankful to my daughter Molly for introducing us to you through Ann.
Terry was someone I always enjoyed being with whatever the occasion. Never saw him without a smile on his face and ready for a laugh which I often shared with him in the moments we were together.
Maureen and I regret being unable to pay our respects.
You and your family and Terry are in our thoughts.
Please accept our warmest regards and condolences,
Ed Pace

Terry had such a sense of humor. Years ago when playing softball, Danny Wong was chiding Timmy, thinking it was Terry, about putting on a little weight! I don’t even think Danny knew Terry had a twin brother. Terry walked up behind Danny and said, “Hi, Danny.” After a shocked look, Danny could not stop laughing.
We have a picture from Cape Cod of ‘Terry and his boys’ playing in the sand - only none of the boys were
known to us before that day. He made instant friends!
Many years ago I called Terry when Jon got his hand caught trying to repair the garage door opener. Terry hustled over and freed his hand. He was someone we could always call on!
Terry has left all of us a legacy of love and kindness, and a zest for living. Thanks, Terry!

Mary, Tim and the whole family, my memories of this great friend of 70 years are profound especially with many gaps in our encounters. Yet I still think of him every time I hear that Neil Diamond song since Terry changed the lyric to “ Sweet Ter Devine”.
Back in 1969 we were asked to work a job on the sidelines of a Bills game. We had to meet the coaches and were introduced to legendary Vince Lombardi for a midfield handshake.
Many years passed between our encounters but in 2005 Terry and Mary attended the Eastern Sprints regatta where Conor was the star rower and his coach was, and still is, a close friend of mine. Small world.
We spent a pleasant day and near the end ,36 years later Terry said , “ Hey, remember when we met Vince Lombardi. “!
Tim, Mellen, Terry and Mary made the long trip to Paul’s memorial just two years ago. I’ll never forget it.
We are out of the country right now but you’re in our hearts.
If there is a Great Beyond surely Terry and Paul are in the Edgewood section.
And while It was great to meet Lombardi no man I’ve known is better than Terry Devine.
Ken and Donna Mudie

Mrs. Devine, Mary Claire, Meg, Anne, Connor, Bess, and everyone else in your big, beautiful family,
It was so recent that I smiled to see the family photo for the celebration of your 50th anniversary. Mr. Devine was one of the kindest people I've ever met, and I don't know if I can even picture him without a smile on his face.
More than any specific memory, I just think of what it felt like to be in Mr. Devine's presence -- warm. And, Mrs. Devine, it was always so clear how much you two were in love.
I do have one specific memory that always makes me laugh -- Mr. Devine did not like to drink milk that came in a cardboard container. Mrs. Devine was suspicious whether he really could tell the difference. So, she put milk from a cardboard container into a plastic one. When Mr. Devine drank the milk, he said, "yuck -- this tastes like milk from a cardboard container." I guess we can remember him as a man with distinguished taste:)
I'm sending love and prayers to you all. I have no doubt that you will be the loving support to each other that you all need during this heartbreaking time.
Love,
Sarah Bertucci

Prayers, love & deepest condolences to Mary, the Devine Children, Grandchildren and Family.
Terry was one of the best! He always had a smile, a funny story to tell and a wonderful sense of humor. As former neighbors, he was always ready to help out when there was a neighborhood project.
We will remember our softball teams, Cooperstown visit to find the “4 Alou brothers” and many “Church Ladies” & Spouses get togethers.
He will be missed. ❤️ Lois & Tim

Mary Claire and family,
I am so sorry to hear about your Dad. My favorite memory of him is driving us to Girl Scout camp and teaching us how to rough-it outdoors at camp. He always had a great big smile in his face. He is certainly smiling down on you all. My prayers and condolences to you all.
Ellen
