Having met Jim on the camino in Spain, and become friends, I came to visit Mary and Jim in Buffalo and received such a warm welcome. Mary's faith and her passion for the underdog were so strong! What a joy Mary was especially when speaking about her faith and sharing her faith with the hundreds of children and teens she encountered throughout her years of ministry. I was blessed to have learned from her and to have shared faith with her. Tho it was many years ago , much of what she shared with us remains with me even in my retirement from the ministry that brought us together. Moe

I met Mary as a teenager and even then she had a strong character. She had faith in God, loved her family, was loyal to her friends, plus a hard working spirit and always time for fun. These values never left her and in fact she gathered many more to round out a life well lived. She has earned a special place in heaven. If each of us plays forward just one of the kindnesses Mary showed to us her spirit will continue to live on in the world and can only make it a much better place.

Mary was one of the kindest people I knew. She gave me my first job and was with me through some of the most difficult times in my life. I feel honored to have known her. I will never forget her and all the wonderful memories she has left me.
