Obituary of Christa Mulertt

A loving wife, mother, “oma”and “doggie” grandmother who passed away on October 18,2024, at the age of 95. Beloved wife of the late Hans Mulertt;dear mother of Heinz (Sonja) Mulertt, Diane (Gregory)Hummel, Philip Mulertt and Barbara (Mark) O’Neill; loving grandmother “Oma” of Dustin (Christy) Hummel, Devin Mulertt, Kursten (Matthew Linton) O’Neill and Caitlin O’Neill; sister of Karl-Heinz, Wilhelm, Anneliese and the late Johan, Egon, Werner and Wolfgang. Also survived by many nieces, nephews and cousins. Friends and family may call on Saturday November 2nd from 10 to 11:30 a.m. at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park, (716)675-9027, where a funeral service will follow at 11:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to the Roswell Park Institute. Christa was born in Germany and immigrated to Buffalo from Bocholt, Germany,after World War II. A wonderful seamstress, she continued to sew and knit into her 90’s, donating quilts, scarves, and hats to Roswell Park, Oshei Children’s Hospital and Hospice. She and her late husband Hans were members of the Buffalo Chapter of Schlaraffia, where they made many lifelong friendships through the years
