Callahan, John Phillip “Jack” May 11, 1934 - November 19, 2024 Beloved husband of the late Christine (Pokorski) Callahan, devoted father of Donna (Carl) Woods, Linda (Frank Reppenhagen IV) Laing, Paul (Kathy) Callahan and Denise (Kevin) McGovern, loving grandfather of Wallace, Ryan, Shawn, Craig, Brendan and Sean, great grandfather of Colt, Cash, Kevin Cal and Scott, son of the late John J. “Cal” and Rosemond Haggerty Callahan, cherished brother-in-law of the late Janine Kaminski and the late Daniel Pokorski. Family and friends may call on Sunday, November 24th from 3:00 to 6:00 pm at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park (716) 675-9027 where a Funeral Service will be held on Monday, November 25th at 10:00 am. The interment will follow the service at the Hillcrest Cemetery. A 50-year member of the I.B.E.W. Local 41, Jack worked as an electrician for Frey and Ferguson Electric and a host of other Buffalo Companies, including Children’s Hospital and the Springville Chaffee Hospital, all while building, maintaining and owning a number of commercial properties. He also served honorably in the US Army and a was a tireless and lifetime member and officer of the Boston Lions Club. Jack was a graduate of Bishop Timon High School Class of 1951.
