My heart sank when I googled the dance school I had the privilege of attending from age 4-11. I had no idea Miss Marie had passed (I had her for tap until I was 8). I'm so sorry, but just wanted to let everyone know how proud I am as an adult to say I attended. Marie Wildey's school of dance is such a staple in the community. My family had humble means growing up (but always enough), and so as an adult I came to appreciate the fact that the tuition my parents paid was reasonable. And who could put on a show like us! I'm wondering if they still sing "Applause Applause" at the end :) I'm now 36 with my own soon to be 4 year old and wish I could send her there (we've moved south since then). I'll always remember Miss Marie as sweet and caring. Thanks for everything.
