Beloved husband of Dana (Ehrig) Stoddard; dear father of Richard Jr. (Johanna), Liza (Daniel) Smith, Ronald (Amy), Edward (Ginger) Stoddard; very dear friend of Mary Mahaney; loving grandfather of 11; brother of Helen (late Edward) Borowiak; predeceased by two brothers and a sister; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Funeral from the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC. (Southtowns Chapel), 3155 Orchard Park Road, Saturday at 9:15 AM and from St. John the XXIII Church (Harlem Road and Arcade) at 10:00 AM. Friends may call Friday from 4-8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the American Diabe- tes Assn. Rick was a Senior Sanitary Engineer for 40 years at the Buffalo Sewer Authority, 20 years as a Boy Scout Leader and an Eagle Scout, Ad Altare Dei and Order of the Arrow and a Confirmation Teacher for 15 years at St. John the Evangelist.
