I was only lucky enough to know Brian for the last few years. But you didn't need to know him very long to know that he was truly a good man... A kind, gentle, and generous man. Just being around him you couldn't help but feel good. That's the kind of guy he was. I will miss him a lot. The world is less for having lost him, but we are so much better for having known him.

I'm glad to have had you as a friend. We had plenty of belly laughs at 312. Pounds of Swedish Fish and endless cans of Diet Pepsi. Sharing stories and life advice that made the long days go by. I pray for your wife, kids, and family. I'll raise a glass to you at our monthly lunch dates.

My deepest sympathies to Brian's family, my stepdad Joe and all my stepbrothers and Sisters, I will always fondly remember Brians gregarious laugh, at Christmas time. The time he picked me up at the Cleveland airport when our Mom, his stepmom passed. He made the ride to Buffalo a special time. My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. Brian will be missed dearly.
God Bless! Love R.J.

I worked with Brian off and on when I was new on the job. It was station 3 downtown , when I was shipped there. I always hoped it would be Brian with whom I would be riding. As a new cop, you learn a little from everyone you ride with, especially from senior officers. I learned a whole lot from this guy. We remained friends to this day. Brian was one of those people who said it the way it had to be said. What you saw was what you got. Honesty, firmness and compassion. I can't believe the news my friend. I, as well as many who knew you are just heartbroken. PBA events will not be the same without your presence. Godspeed buddy. No more pain.
