Obituary of David G. Moore

David G. Moore, Funeral Director, age 55, of South Buffalo, New York passed away November 6, 2018 at Hospice of Buffalo after a lengthy illness.  He is survived by his parents, David and Dolores (Higgins) Moore and his brothers, Thomas (Lynne) Moore and James (Ami) Moore; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends. 

Born in Buffalo, Mr. Moore was a graduate of Holy Family, Bishop Timon High School and Simmons School of Mortuary Science in 1995. He worked at several funeral homes throughout Western New York and was a Morgue Keeper with the Erie County Medical Examiner’s Office before his debilitating illnesses.  He was an avid golfer and passionate fan of the Boston Red Sox and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.  He was also a member of the Erie-Niagara Funeral Directors Association and New York State Funeral Directors Association.  He was a long-time member of the 9-11 Social Club and a member of the Msgr. Nash #3875 Knights of Columbus. 
 

Friends may call on Friday, November 9th from 2-4 & 7-9 P.M. at JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME (Southtowns Chapel) 3155 Orchard Park Rd.  Orchard Park, NY 14127. David’s Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday at 11:30 A.M. from Our Lady of Charity Parish Church of The Holy Family Worship Site. 1885 South Park (at Tifft St.) Buffalo, NY 14220. Please assemble at church.   Interment in Hillcrest Cemetery. Flowers gratefully declined.
