Dear Mike,
I was so deeply saddened to learn of the loss you and your family have suffered. Although my encounters with your father were brief, I learned quickly what a magnificent man he was. I remember talking with him at your wedding reception. He was just so very proud of you and all you have accomplished! He was so ecstatic to see you so happy and that Danielle joining the Ernst family. He was so proud of your scholastic achievements. And, he beyond honored to see his son have the ambition and courage to continue in his father's footsteps and serve in the noblest of professions. I can tell from our conversation, he was at great ease knowing that he did a fine job as a father. The loss of someone so important in life is never easy and I know the days to come will be difficult. But rest assured, some day soon, we will celebrate and honor the great life that he lived. Again, our hearts go out to you in your time of sorrow and may "Mike's" guiding hand forever remain on your shoulder.
