Obituary of Rita Smith

 Age 89 years, passed away unexpectedly November 12, 2019. Beloved wife of the late James “Jim Boy” Smith; loving mother of Patrica (David) Rosolowski, Timothy C. (Mary Reid) Smith, Kathleen (Ed) Cotter,  Ellen (Tom) Mann, James P. (Carleen) and Brian (Margo) Smith, and the late Maureen (Dave) Brown; loving grandmother of 15 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; daughter of the late Cornelius and Mary (Bowen) O’Leary; sister of the late John (late Shirley) O’Leary, late Mary (late  Edward) Wiles and the late Anna O’Leary. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the OLPH Restoration Fund.  Friends may call Friday from  3-8 PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., (Southtowns Chapel) 3155 Orchard Park Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 10 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church.  (Please assemble at church).  Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. Rita was a graduate of  Mt. Mercy Academy class of 1947 and a resident of the Old First Ward, living her entire life on Miami St
