Sorry hearing about Billy. Bill and I were drafted together August 6th 1969. I was also from South Buffalo I ran into him at a bar on Seneca St. a couple years after the service. When we were drafted Billy was sitting next to me in the barber chair had a tear running down his cheek when they cut his long hair. He was a great guy and sure he is missed. RIP Brother!

Bobby and family, so sorry to hear of Billy's passing. Please accept my apology for not attending the wake as I have been dealing with some issues. I will never forget his uplifting spirit. He will be remembered for his contagious laughter, humor, and optomistic outlook. Whenever I saw Billy and talked to him, he had a way of making everthing seem better. He will be missed and always in my thoughts.

Football and kickball in the street, wiffle ball in driveways,
Digging foxholes in the "field",
Hopping garages,
Catching frogs, ice skating and "hot foots" in the "pond",
Sledding on "Candy Mountain",
Keeping off Mr. Wright's lawn,
The list goes on.....
Ah, the fun of growing up on Mt. Vernon Avenue in the 1950's, when every boy's name ended in either "ie" or "y".
Billy did it well. My condolences to the Bugman family and all those with warm memories of Bill.

I am so sorry to hear of Bill’s passing. Bill and the Bugman’s were part of the great Seneca-Caz neighbourhood when we were growing up.
I was in school with Bob and played many different sports with Bob, Bill and Rick. We had so much fun in those years. Always in Caz park, we would have choose-ups and play until dark. Walking home from St. John’s in the winter, we would pelt each other with snowballs across Seneca St. I can still hear Billy’s laugh while snowballs scored direct hits. Paper routes, games, hanging out at Joe’s deli and the Parkside were happy times.
Bill and the family were very welcoming to the Gallagher’s when we visited Mt Vernon st. So many good times with the Bugmans.
Bill was a great friend to me in later years.
I have missed the Bugmans when I left years ago, and think of you fondly. He is in the arms of the Lord with all of our loved ones who have gone before. Bill will always be in my daily meditations. Rest In Peace my good friend. Love, Steve Gallagher, Sydney, Australia
