Obituary of Anne E. Courtney-Kavanaugh

November 20, 2016 at the age of 91; predeceased by Lawrence M. Kavanaugh Sr.; dearest mother of Mary Ellen Kavanaugh, Mark( Julie), Lawrence M. Jr., Neil (Ellen), Nell Kavanaugh, James (Laura), Matthew (Melinda), Martha Kavanaugh and the late Clare Kavanaugh; loving grandmother of Joseph and Sadie, Emily and Madeline, Neil, Owen and Rory, Emilie Ronald, Connor and Clare, Katherine and Maggie; beloved daughter of late Thomas R. and late Helen V. "Nellie" (Riordan) Courtney; sister of late Mary (late James P.) Kavanaugh, late Helen V. Courtney, late Jeanne R. (late Mervin) Heppehamer, late Thomas R. (Ilma) Courtney, late Jack R. (late Sue) Courtney, late Raymond J (Zita) Courtney, late James F. (late Therese) Courtney; also survived by many nieces, nephews and good friends. The family will be present Friday from 3-8:00 PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME INC. (Buffalo Chapel) 2397 SENECA STREET. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Martin of Tours Church on Saturday at 11:00 AM (please assemble at church). In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the Leukemia Society and or Hospice of Buffalo. Anne was very active at St. Martin's Grammar School and Church, former member of the Board of Directors at Mount Mercy Academy and was a very active and loyal participant in the Novena of Grace at St. Michael's Church for over 80 years,
