“Mr. K,”, as I called him, was genuinely a kind, caring, wonderful man! His goodness and his selflessness were pure and simple; his qualities made him a rare breed. I just recently told Kim that “I wish every man could be like her Dad”. In my childhood, I spent many, many happy times with Kim at their house in our hometown of West Seneca. When I grew up and moved away, I would return “home” for visits, and Kim and I would always drive over to his house to see her Dad. Mr. K. would be so happy when he saw us; he would sit in his finished garage laughing and giggling with us and making jokes (I loved how he always had his shiny, freshly washed Ford in the driveway!). And every time I saw him, he had such a big smile on his face. What fond memories I have of this very special man! It’s a comfort to know that all his love and all his positive qualities will continue to shine through my dear friend Kim! Mr. K. certainly loved his “Kimmy”.
