I am saddened to just have learned of Lyric's passing. She truly faced so many challenges in the short time she was here on Earth. Nonetheless she always had a smile on her face. I spent a lot of time with her at Children's where countless times she would actually be the one to make me laugh despite everything she was going through. I wish her life wasn't cut so short. To all Lyric’s family and friends, my heartfelt condolences. Lyric was a student of mine at West Seneca East Sr and I will always remember her smiling face and positive attitude. Even when she had to miss school for her illness, she ALWAYS made up all the work and ALWAYS to the best of her ability! She never took the easy way out, what a fighter! I am sorry to hear that this bright ray of sunshine has left our earthly setting, but I have faith that she is filling up the heavens with her light and now has peace and comfort with God. My heart hurts for everyone who loved her. Our Lyr Lyr truly brought so much light into our lives. From the day she was born. I was in the hospital room that day & She was always such a happy, go lucky baby. Grew into a strong, amazing young woman. One of the most resilient ppl Ik. She has endured so much in her short life, but after every downfall she’d pick herself up & continue smiling. Her laugh was so contagious. I still can’t believe I will never get to hear it again. She would give us silly nicknames & always make us laugh. Ik she was watching the tv series Shameless before she passed & she’d always tell me how far she’d gotten every time we talked on the phone. & she’d always say I love u before we hung up. She loved her FurBaby Punkin like a child. She adored her family, her boyfriend & her friends with all her heart. Her & my daughter would call each other “sister cousins” because they always said they were more than cousins. For sure, a Special bond, those 2 had. Our lives will forever be changed now that she is gone. But anyone who believes in heaven can have peace in believing she’s up there with her birth Nana & Papa who she has missed so so much. Keep being your silly self Lyr Bear! We love & miss you so much baby girl. My sweet sweet niece. Our beautiful Lupus Warrior <3
