Obituary of James E. Morrissey

Of South Buffalo, NY. Passed away November 29, 2021. Beloved wife of Sharon (Donovan) Morrissey. Loving father of Joseph (Amanda Cimorelli) Morrissey, Loren Morrissey and his granddog Luka. Son of the late Joseph Morrissey and Margaret Morrissey. Brother of the late Richard Morrissey Cherished Brother in law of Patricia Donovan, Michael (Mary) Donovan, Richard (Mary) Donovan, Maureen (Don Nelson) Donovan. Also survived by many loving nieces and nephews. Jim had a smile that lit up any room that will be missed by his many great friends. A Memorial Mass will be held Saturday December 11th at 9:30 AM at Our Lady of Charity Parish (Holy Family Worship Site). Jim donated his body to UB Medical School, no prior visitation. Jim was a Vietnam Era Veteran as a Medical Corpsman and Physical Therapist Pro. Jim loved music and was a regular at the Sportsmen’s and Talty’s and was the owner of “Morrissey’s” bar in South Buffalo. He loved sports and was a legendary basketball player at Baker Victory. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The Wounded Warriors Fund.
