Mary, I was very sad to receive the notice from my parents of your mom's passing. She was a great lady. I have many fond memories of her from growing up together. Everything she made to eat tasted delicious. I remember specifically the sandwiches she made us in the toaster oven (it was the first time I ever had mayonnaise and dijon mustard!), the cream she poured over the strawberries or raspberries we picked near your house, the real honeycomb she served with toast one morning after I slept over. I also remember how beautifully your house was decorated and how truly funny she was and how wonderful she and your dad were together. I can honestly say I loved knowing her and she stands out in my memories as someone very special. I know this is a tremendous loss. My family and I are sending you and yours much love.
