Passed away January 28, 2022. Beloved husband of Mary (Cosgrove) Basil; dear father of Charles “Chuck”, William, Michael (Eryka), Nora (Daniel) Tuckey and James (Molly) Basil; loving grandfather of Caitlyn, Alacyn, Shaymus, Finnegan and Fiona; brother of the late Maryann Wilcox and late Thomas Basil. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday at 11:15
AM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church. Family will be present to receive friends
at church before Mass from 10:45-11:15 AM. No prior visitation. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be sent to Hospice Buffalo. Mr. Basil was a Buffalo
Firefighter and taught at Bishop Timon St. Jude High School for 37 years.
