Obituary of Mary Ellen Morano

Passed away on July 8,2022. Beloved wife of late Thomas D. Morano, who passed away 57 years ago, dear mother of Diane Morano, Kathy (Jim) Maloney, Tom (Barb), Kevin, Ken (Tricia), Beth Morano, John (Julie) Morano and the late Mary Ellen Cunningham- Szarafin, loving grandmother of 21 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren. Sister of late Kenneth “Buzz” (late Eleanor) Campbell, late John “Jack” (late Marlene) Campbell, late Patricia (late Jim) Moran and the late Phyllis Grace Campbell. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Friends and family may call Tuesday from 4-8:00 pm at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Road in Orchard Park, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday at 10:15 AM, Queen of Heaven Church, 4220 Seneca St, West Seneca, NY 14224. Please assemble at church. Interment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be sent to Mount Mercy Academy, 88 Red Jacket Parkway, Buffalo, NY 14220. Mrs. Morano was a member of the St. John Evangelist Choir, Altar and Rosary Society and their Senior Travel Club. She worked at Mercy Hospital into her 80’s and was a World War II Marine veteran.
