Obituary
Obituary of Walter M. Fuszara
Please share a memory of Walter to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
He was truly one of a kind. He was lovingly called ‘the power’ by his grandchildren. He loved to write; he wrote a couple of novels and wrote handwritten letters to family and friends until the end. He loved to travel, loved music, and loved to dance. He loved the great outdoors, walking, hiking and camping.
He worked as a police reporter for The Buffalo News. He was an active member of St. John XX111 Catholic Church and St. Teresa’s RC Church. He was a Boy Scout Leader. He was active in The Right to Life Movement, the Society of St. Vincent dePaul and the South Buffalo Community Table – Soup Kitchen.
In summing up his 93+ years: our dad loved God with all his heart, mind, and soul. He started and ended each day in prayer. He loved unconditionally. He always wore a smile and had a kind, encouraging word for everyone he met, even the stranger in the street. He taught his family to do the same.
