Passed away September 7, 2022. Beloved husband of 65 years to Patricia (Stachowski). Proud and loving father of Susan Cramer and Lori (Ray) Formella. Loving grandfather of Joshua (Hannah), Jonathan (Lauren) and Katelyn Formella. Great-grandpa of Elijah, Isaiah, Adelynn and J.P. Dear Dad to Carol Darstein, longtime friend of Bob and Jan Scott. Also survived by many cousins. Friends may call Friday from 3-7 PM at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME INC., 3155 Orchard Park Rd. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 11:30 AM at Our Lady of the Sacred Heart Church, 3148 Abbott Road, Orchard Park, NY. Please assemble at church. Interment to follow at Nativity Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice Buffalo. After graduating from St. Joseph’s Collegiate Institute, Peter joined the Navy and served for 6 years. Upon returning to Buffalo he worked at Cornell Lab and Calspan in electronic warfare. He was an accomplished musician, enjoyed building, flying and sometimes crashing model airplanes and later model railroading. Yearly joy was taking his grandsons to major league baseball games and watching chick flicks with his granddaughter. He was a member of the Southtowns M.S. Club. He fought M.S. for many years. Pete loved his family.
