Of Buffalo, NY, on September 17, 2022
of complications arising from Multiple Myeloma. Beloved daughter
of the late William V. Keefe and Edna N. (Sorendo) Keefe and devoted sister of William G., Mary M., Thomas M., Maureen T., and the late Dennis M. and Michael S. Keefe; she is also survived by nephews, Nathan R., Robert W.; and niece, Ashley E. Keefe. Patricia received a Bachelor’s Degree degree from Nazareth College, Rochester, NY, and a Master’s Degree from SUNY Buffalo State College. She was a long-standing member of Delta
Kappa Gamma for which she held numerous officer positions. Patricia was a Secondary English Teacher with Holland Central School for 37 years and retired in 2013. Patricia’s love of language and history was particularly
evident in her classroom instruction of Elie Wiesel’s novel, “Night”. Through her travel experiences in Poland and Germany, she was able to bring a sense of realism to her students. Patricia taught English in Lithuania for three summers in conjunction with a program sponsored by Bridges for Education. Patricia travelled the world with both students and her family. She loved history, art, music, and gardening. She possessed a quick Irish wit and a hearty laugh. Her deeply held religious beliefs, with particular devotion to Our Lady and St. Therese, The Little Flower, were a significant part of her life. Patricia’s quiet acts of
generosity were unparalleled. Visitation will be held at the JAMES W. CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC., 3155 Orchard Park Rd., on Friday, September 23,
2022 from 4-8 PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place on Saturday,
September 24, 2022 at 11 AM at St. Martin of Tours to celebrate Patricia’s
life. Please assemble at Church.
