Virginia “Ginger” Parker was born on October 31st, 1924 in Randolph, New York to Howard and Frances Boardman. Ginger grew up in South Buffalo and graduated from South Park High School, class of 1942. She is survived by her loving sons Mark and Don, their wives Michelle and Mary, daughter-in-law Patty Parker, eight grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren, and many caring nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends.
Ginger lived life to the fullest indulging her love of bowling, golfing, playing mahjong, dancing, and attending social events right up to the week of her passing. She was an active member of her community serving many terms as secretary of the West Seneca Rollers bowling league, Secretary and Treasurer of the Easy Aces investment club, member of the Daughters of Erin, and the unofficial historian of the South Park High School Alumni Association. Her tenure as Queen Ginger Snaps of the Erie County Red Hat Society lasted eight years.
