John E. Pitiss was born July 28, 1938 to parents Edward and Lucy Pitass. He graduated from Bishop Timon High School in 1955. He served in the Army. He was employed at Gioia Macaroni as a plant manager until it’s closing.
John was a family man. He was married to Joan Pitiss (Kuerzdoerfer) for 56 years. Together they had four children. Jennifer Johnson, John (Jill) Pitiss, Jeffrey (Debbie) Pitiss, Jeri (Dennis) Luthart. They had eight grandchildren. Colton, Brynn, and Ian Johnson. Christopher Czechowski, Matthew and Nicholas Pitiss. Noah and Emma Luthart. John enjoyed restoring old cars, and remodeling his house. He also loved fishing and activities at the lake. Friends and family are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial at Queen of Heaven Church on Saturday January 21st at 12:30pm.
