They raised their 3 children and joined the St. Vincent De Paul Parish community which became a major part of her life. Rose was fully committed to God and family life, with education as a priority for her children. Her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the center of her world. Each child has special memories of their moments with Gigi. Rose’s faith called her to a Christian life of service, not only to her family, but to her friends, neighbors, parish, and those in need. Rose cared for many elderly family members, most notably her husband John of 51 years. Rose, not only was called to feed the poor, which she did weekly by volunteering, she loved feeding those that visited. There wasn’t a visitor that came to see her without being invited to sit, eat, and have a cup of coffee. She was the ultimate hostess and homemaker and most known for her famous baked apple pie. Mrs. Brueckl served as a St. Vincent De Paul Parish Trustee and was an active member of St. Vincent De Paul Roman Catholic Church, Springbrook, NY. She served on St. Vincent De Paul Parish Counsel, Rectory volunteer, Liturgy Committee, Building Fund, Catholic Charity Appeal, Home School Association, St. Vincent De Paul Soup Kitchen volunteer, Little Portion Friary Homeless Shelter volunteer, and Rainbow Circle 4-H Club Leader. Rose and John retired as snowbirds in Gulfport, Florida. She was known for her baking, cooking, crafts, and cross-country skiing. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Jack, Marge, and Barb would like to thank our family, friends, aides, and Hospice for the love and support throughout her illness. We are thankful she is now at peace and with Jesus!
