Obituary of James V. McCarthy Sr.

Beloved husband of the late Dolores (Hogg). Dear father of Karen (Randall) Gajkowski, Lori (Martin) Scholl, Martin (Jeanne), Patrick (Rosalie) and the late James and William (Christa) McCarthy. Loving grandfather of Jennifer, Martin and James Scholl; Sara, Amy, Molly, and Michael McCarthy; Katherine, Patrick and Lindsey McCarthy; Dimi, Niza and Michaelle McCarthy. Great-grandfather of nine. Brother of Charles (Marilyn) McCarthy and the late Marion (late Martin) Kornecki. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Saturday at 12:00 at St. Bernadette's Church. No prior visitation. In lieu of flowers, raise a glass of BLUE in Jim's memory. Jim retired from the Buffalo Fire Dept. and enjoyed spending his summers in Canada with his family and friends.
