Passed away on April 18,
2019; beloved husband
of late Rita (Uschold);
dear father of Thomas
(Deborah) Fildes,
Gerard (Elizabeth) Fildes,
Kathleen Fildes, Karen
(David) Hennig, Janet (Warren) Smith,
Daniel (Denise) Fildes, and the late
Pamela (James) Sudyn; loving grandfather
of 17 and great-grandfather of 14;
brother of the Vincent (Margaret) Fildes
and the late Robert (late Lorraine)
Fildes. Friends and family may call on
Saturday from 2-6 PM at the JAMES W.
CANNAN FUNERAL HOME, INC.
(Southtowns Chapel), 3155 Orchard Park
Road. A Mass of Christian Burial will be
held on Monday at 9 AM at St. John
Vianney Church (please assemble at
church). The entombment will follow the
Mass at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, donations may be sent to the
St. Vincent de Paul Society, 2950

14127. Mr. Fildes was a Buffalo
Firefighter for 36 years, a US Army
Veteran and a member of the Kairos
Prison Ministry.
